Dr. Brad Whitley, PT, DPT, XPS, is the Co-Founder of Bespoke Physical Therapy’s San Diego Region, where he specializes in sports rehabilitation, performance optimization, and return-to-play programming for athletes ranging from youth competitors to national team performers. His clinical approach, shaped by his designation as an EXOS Performance Specialist (XPS), integrates hands-on care, evidence-based rehabilitation, sport science testing, and strength and conditioning principles to help his patients recover efficiently and effectively.
Brad also serves as a sports scientist and physical therapy provider for U.S. Soccer’s Extended National Teams, contributing to workload management, performance testing, and return-to-play decision-making. His work utilizes technologies including GPS tracking, wellness dashboards, and off-season strength and conditioning programming to support high-performance environments. He has also served as a team physical therapist for ALBION San Diego.
A former NCAA All-American middle-distance runner at the University of Washington, Brad earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from San Diego State University, where he currently serves as a Visiting Professor. His professional interests include sports injury epidemiology, athlete monitoring, running biomechanics, and the application of sports science technologies to improve athlete health and performance. He regularly consults with patients and coaches on performance testing, injury prevention strategies, long-term athlete development, and the integration of sports science into clinical practice. By combining clinical expertise with experience in elite sport, Brad helps athletes make informed decisions that enhance performance, reduce injury risk, and support long-term success.
