Dr. Mark Boodram is a licensed Physical Therapist with experience in sports medicine, orthopedic rehabilitation, acute care, and athlete performance. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Bowling Green State University and has developed a diverse clinical background treating both athletic and general orthopedic populations.
Mark has gained experience within professional sports through his work with the Chicago White Sox organization, where he assisted in the evaluation and rehabilitation of professional baseball players while collaborating with athletic trainers, strength and conditioning coaches, coaching staff, and front office personnel. He has also expanded his exposure to elite athlete care through clinical experiences with the New York Yankees and Milwaukee Brewers medical and performance staffs, gaining insight into the day-to-day management, rehabilitation, and return-to-play processes of professional athletes.
In addition to his sports medicine experience, Mark currently works within the acute care setting at Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), assisting postoperative orthopedic patients with mobility training, functional recovery, and interdisciplinary care coordination. His background also includes neurological rehabilitation experience treating individuals with Parkinson’s disease, stroke, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injuries, and other complex neurologic conditions.
Mark holds multiple performance and rehabilitation certifications, including Champion Sports Medicine Performance Specialist (C-PS), Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES), and Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES). As a former NCAA Division III basketball player, he brings a unique understanding of the demands placed on athletes and is passionate about helping individuals return to sport, maximize performance, and achieve their highest level of function.
