Dr. Lizzy Moyer, PT, DPT, RYT, is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Registered Yoga Teacher, and US Soccer D-License Coach at Bespoke Physical Therapy in Encinitas. Originally from the Chicago suburbs, Lizzy moved to San Diego in 2013 to attend Point Loma Nazarene University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Applied Health Sciences with a minor in Visual Arts. She later completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, combining her passion for movement, athletics, and helping others live active, fulfilling lives.

Lizzy believes that rehabilitation should extend beyond symptom relief and empower individuals to move with confidence long after they leave the clinic. Her treatment approach blends hands-on manual therapy, strength and conditioning principles, motor learning, and movement analysis to create personalized treatment plans that address each patient’s goals. Fluent in English and Spanish, she values building strong relationships with her patients and helping them better understand their bodies throughout the recovery process.

Prior to becoming a physical therapist, Lizzy spent several years coaching youth soccer and providing sport-specific athletic performance training. These experiences fostered a deep appreciation for biomechanics, injury prevention, return-to-sport progression, and long-term athletic development. She has a special interest in working with active individuals and athletes, including soccer players, surfers, runners, and those returning to activity following injury or surgery. Her background as a yoga teacher and performance coach allows her to integrate mobility, movement quality, and performance principles into rehabilitation and wellness programs.

Outside of the clinic, Lizzy enjoys spending time with family and friends, surfing local breaks, playing soccer, traveling, and exploring the outdoors. A lifelong creative, she also enjoys making music, creating jewelry, drawing, painting, and sculpture. Whether through movement, art, or adventure, Lizzy is always seeking new opportunities to learn, grow, and connect with her community.
